Strength Training in Madrid
What is
Strength at Revive?
Strength is Revive's structured strength training program. Each session follows progressive programming that blends hypertrophy work, foundational movement patterns, and zone-based intensity control.
We don't improvise: every class has a specific purpose within a monthly block engineered to help your body evolve week after week.
Evidence-based methodology adapted to any level — from complete beginners to experienced athletes seeking real structure to progress.
Why Train Strength
A strong body
is a healthy body
The scientific evidence is clear: strength training is the physical capacity with the greatest impact on health, quality of life, and longevity.
Build muscle progressively and sustainably. The body you want, built with method.
Strength boosts resting energy expenditure and promotes fat loss without sacrificing muscle.
Increases bone density and protects against osteoporosis. The ultimate long-term insurance.
Strength is the foundation to run faster, jump higher, and take on any athletic discipline.
Strength training reduces stress, improves sleep, and has a direct positive effect on mood.
Preserving muscle mass over the years is one of the most reliable predictors of quality of life as you age.
Reduces injury risk, enhances posture, and corrects everyday muscular imbalances.
More muscle means a more active metabolism. The most efficient way to manage weight long-term.
Strength and Longevity
Strength training is the best
investment in your longevity
The science is unequivocal: muscle mass is the most vital tissue for predicting quality of life as we age. Studies published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine and JAMA Internal Medicine show that people with higher muscular strength have a 30% to 45% lower risk of all-cause mortality, regardless of their cardio levels.
It's not just about looking better — though that happens too. It's about ensuring that at 50, 60, or 70, your body performs with the same vitality as it does today.
Why strength matters more than cardio for living longer
- Muscle mass and metabolism: Every kilogram of muscle burns between 13 and 50 kcal at rest. From age 30 onward, we lose an average of 3% to 8% of muscle mass per decade if we don't actively train it.
- Bone density: Strength training is the most powerful stimulus for bone formation, reducing the risk of osteoporosis by up to 40%.
- Insulin sensitivity: Building muscle improves glucose uptake and lowers the risk of type 2 diabetes more effectively than preventive medication in many cases.
- Cognitive function: The myokine IL-6, released by muscles during strength exercise, has a documented neuroprotective effect that reduces the risk of cognitive decline.
At Revive, we apply these principles in every Strength session: progressive overload, proper technique, and measurable progress. It's not just motivation — it's protocol.
The Method
Progressive
overload. Real
results.
Muscle growth doesn't happen by accident. In Strength, we apply the single most important principle of strength training: progressive overload. Over the weeks, your body receives steadily increasing stimuli to keep adapting.
Three formats · One goal
Each class, a
different muscle group
Three session formats designed to target all major muscle groups in a balanced way, respecting the recovery time needed for hypertrophy.
Develop lower body strength and muscle mass with an emphasis on glutes. Hip thrusts, squats, deadlifts, and variations focused on building strong, functional, and sculpted glutes.
- Growing and shaping glutes
- Toning and strengthening legs
- Improving athletic performance
- Boosting lower body strength
The primary pushing muscles of the upper body. Bench press, overhead press, dips, and variations to build strength and muscle mass across the chest, shoulders, and triceps.
- Building a strong and balanced upper body
- Gaining upper body muscle mass
- Improving pushing capacity
- Sculpting arms and shoulders
Strengthen your posterior chain and core. Back, biceps, and abdominal muscles through rows, assisted pull-ups, and core stability patterns.
- Developing a strong, defined back
- Improving posture
- Increasing pulling strength
- Building functional core strength
Class structure
What a
Strength session looks like
Every Strength class at Revive follows three distinct phases. Nothing is improvised: every single minute serves a purpose within the monthly programming block.
We prime the joints and central nervous system for the work ahead. The quality of the main lift relies on this step.
Loaded multi-joint exercises — squat, deadlift, press, pull — with weekly progression. Weights, sets, and reps are all planned within the monthly training block.
Stabilization, core, and closing mobility work to accelerate recovery and prevent injury. The workout ends where adaptation begins.

Measurable results
Train
with data.
At Revive, we believe that what doesn't get measured doesn't improve. That's why we run regular strength assessments in our Open Gym spaces, so you can track your progress objectively.
You know what you lifted when you started. You know what you lift now. That's how tangible progressing in Strength really is.
Assessments take place in our Open Gym spaces, available at both locations.
Strength Assessment
We evaluate fundamental movement patterns to give you an objective benchmark of your progress.
Train + Recover
More strength,
better recovery
Muscle grows during rest, not during workouts. That's why at Revive, strength training and recovery go hand in hand.
The Finnish sauna boosts circulation and nutrient delivery to muscles post-session. The ice bath reduces inflammation and speeds up recovery between sessions. Compression therapy activates the lymphatic system and helps flush out metabolic waste.
If you train Strength 3 times a week, adding one or two recovery sessions makes all the difference in how you adapt to progressive overload.
